Glamping in the Meadow at SouthFork

Nestled in the heart of SouthFork Lodge, between the ridge-top cabins and the riverfront Payette Flats, lies our open meadow—a serene expanse where classic white canvas wall tents offer a timeless camping experience with a touch of comfort.

Each tent is a single-room retreat, thoughtfully furnished with a queen bed, real furniture, and soft linens. While there's no electricity or running water inside, guests have access to a shared bathhouse nearby, providing hot showers and modern facilities.

This is camping as it was meant to be—immersed in nature, yet resting in comfort. As night falls, the meadow becomes a stargazer's paradise, with clear skies and the gentle sounds of the forest creating a tranquil backdrop.

Whether you're seeking a peaceful solo escape or a unique experience with loved ones, our glamping tents offer a perfect blend of rustic charm and cozy comfort.

Camping off the Property

Southfork Lodge can also outfit you with all the bear necessities (pun absolutely intended) to take your stay deeper into the forest. Through our Adventure Services, we offer fully equipped camping kits for rent—perfect for hikers who want to embrace the wilderness without hauling all the gear from home.

Each kit is designed for two, keeping the load balanced and the experience shared. You’ll receive two backpacks—one packed with camping essentials like your tent or hammock tent, sleeping pads, and gear; the other for your personal items, food, and sleeping bags. We even include bear spray, because safety is always in season. And for those who want to dine trailside, you can order a freshly prepared boxed meal straight from our kitchen.

Check out our Adventure Services to learn more and start planning your overnight in the wild.

Staying at SouthFork

At Southfork Lodge, we believe where you stay should be just as memorable as the adventure itself. Tucked deep in the heart of the Boise National Forest, our accommodations offer a range of experiences for every kind of guest—from cozy comfort to rustic immersion.

Choose from our ridge-top one- and two-bedroom cabins, where forest views meet lodge-style charm. Stay steps from the water in our Payette Flats, a row of modern, riverside rooms that let the sound of the river lull you to sleep. For those seeking a touch of wilderness with a hint of luxury, our wall tent glamping offers the best of both worlds. And for the purists, we offer primitive meadow camping under a sky full of stars.

Whether you're here for a weekend getaway, a family adventure, or a fireside reset, there’s a place for you at Southfork.
