Dining at SouthFork Lodge
At Southfork Lodge, dining is part of the journey. Start your morning with coffee and fresh bites at the Trailhead Café, enjoy lunch by the river at The Fork, and settle in for dinner fireside at Timbers, our lodge dining room. Share a dessert—or a good story—at The Pulaski, then finish the night under the stars, gathered around the fire. Every meal here is rooted in place, season, and community.

TrailHead Cafe
Welcome to Trailhead Café—your first stop before the day’s adventure. Whether you're headed out to hike, fish, or just relax by the river, we’ve got fresh coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and grab-and-go bites to fuel your morning. Simple, satisfying, and ready when you are.

Timbers
Welcome to Timbers, the heart of dining at Southfork Lodge. Set inside our 1938 log lodge, Timbers offers a seasonal menu rooted in local ingredients and inspired by the land, the river, and the stories of the forest. Warm, welcoming, and crafted with care.

The Fork
Welcome to The Fork, our open-air café along the banks of the Payette River. It’s the perfect spot for a laid-back lunch, an afternoon drink, or a quick bite between adventures. Casual, scenic, and just steps from the water.
The Pulaski at SouthFork
Welcome to The Pulaski, our cozy lodge lounge named after the iconic firefighting tool that helped shape the legacy of the forest service. It’s a warm, inviting space where guests gather to share desserts, sip local wines, and swap stories from the trail. Families can relax by the fire, play a board game, or enjoy a quiet moment together after a day of exploring the Boise National Forest. With its rustic charm and welcoming atmosphere, The Pulaski is also available for private socials, small gatherings, and special occasions—a one-of-a-kind setting to connect, celebrate, and slow down in the heart of the mountains.

S’mores & Stories - By the Fire
Robyn and I's very first overnight trips was to a cozy little resort tucked in the woods. That night, they rolled out a simple s’mores cart—no instructions, no staff explaining what a s’more was or how to toast a marshmallow just right. It wasn’t fancy, but it was unforgettable. Everyone gathered around the fire, sharing their favorite combinations of graham cracker, chocolate, and gooey marshmallow. People talked, laughed, and traded stories while their marshmallows slowly turned golden brown—or burst into flames and got a good laugh. That night, with marshmallow on her face, I knew I was going to marry that amazing woman.
“By the Fire” at Southfork Lodge is a celebration of that memory and every shared moment like it. It’s for the families winding down after a long day, the friends reconnecting under the stars, and the strangers who become something more when they share a flame and a story. Please be respectful—share your stick, don’t stab it in the ground, and let the fire bring you together. Because sometimes, the simplest things make the biggest memories.
On the East Coast, it was where we shucked oysters and shared stories late into the night. If you play an instrument or love to sing, the fire becomes a stage for memories that last a lifetime.
If you’re looking for a unique space to host a private event or just share a meaningful evening, reach out—we’d love to help you make it unforgettable.
