Southfork Lodge sits on roughly 1,200 feet of frontage along the world-famous Payette River—home to some of the best whitewater rafting in the United States. Ask any local outfitter or guide and you’ll get a different answer about the best section, the best time of year, the best seat on the raft, and—of course—who’s most likely to fall out first.

We’re fortunate to be surrounded by some of the region’s finest rafting guides, but our closest—and most trusted—partner is Payette River Rafting Company (PRC). Whether you’re planning an adrenaline-pumping trip through the canyon for ages 12 and up or a gentler float for younger rafters (ages 5–12), PRC offers the kind of unforgettable river experiences that make Southfork a true adventure destination.

If rafting is part of your stay, some coordination is required—especially in peak season. PRC excels at organizing large groups and squeezing in a few last-minute spots when they can.
