Lodge Life™ SouthFork
Life happens at the lodge | This is Lodge Life™
Lodge Life is where the day-to-day stories of SouthFork come to life. It’s a place to share what’s happening around the lodge — upcoming events, live music, dinners, ice rink nights, and the small moments that make this place what it is. You’ll find lodge news, behind-the-scenes stories, community gatherings, and a growing collection of SouthFork merchandise that reflects life in the forest. Think of this as our living journal — part bulletin board, part campfire conversation — capturing the rhythm, people, and experiences that define life at the lodge.
SouthFork Events
From pond hockey nights and live music to pop-up dinners, festivals, and seasonal gatherings, SouthFork Events are about bringing people together in ways that feel natural to the lodge and the forest. These are moments rooted in place, shaped by the season, and best enjoyed with good company.
SouthFork Stories
SouthFork Stories capture the people, moments, and memories that make this place what it is. Guest experiences, local legends, family adventures, and behind-the-scenes snapshots all live here — shared not to impress, but to preserve the feeling of time well spent at the lodge.
SouthFork News
SouthFork News is where you’ll find what’s happening now — updates from the lodge, seasonal changes, new offerings, and what’s coming next. Consider it our bulletin board and campfire update rolled into one, keeping you connected to Lodge Life™ whether you’re here or planning your next visit.
SouthFork Merchandise
SouthFork Merchandise is inspired by life at the lodge — practical, well-made pieces you’ll actually use, wear, and remember. From hats and hoodies to small essentials, each item reflects the rhythm of Lodge Life™ and carries a bit of the forest with it, long after you head home.
Merrills On The Move - Visit SouthFork Lodge
Merrills on the Move is led by Boise-based adventure-travel mom Ashley Merrill, who, along with her family, is on a mission to show parents that getting outside with kids isn’t just possible — it’s worth it. Through thoughtful storytelling and real-life family adventures, the Merrills explore unique locations across Idaho, highlighting outdoor experiences, local parks, small towns, and family-friendly restaurants that make the state such a special place to explore.
Their goal is simple and refreshing: help families get out of the house, unplug, and discover the beauty right in their own backyard. We were thrilled to recently welcome Ashley and her family to SouthFork Lodge and loved seeing them experience the forest, the lodge, and the rhythm of mountain life firsthand.

If you decide to stay with us for three or four days—or longer—you’ll quickly discover that adventure doesn’t run out here.
The Boise National Forest alone spans over 2.5 million acres, offering endless trails, hidden hot springs, secret fishing holes, and small mountain towns steeped in legendary stories. The longer you stay, the more creative—and personal—your experience becomes. Each day offers something new: the river keeps moving, the menu evolves with the season, and live music drifts through the air on warm evenings. And every night, without fail, we gather around the fire for s’mores—the perfect way to end a day well spent.
Best of all, your stay is fully all-inclusive—meaning your meals, guided adventures, gear rentals, and daily experiences are all part of the package. Whether you're hopping on a side-by-side, pedaling through alpine trails on an e-mountain bike, soaking in a hot spring, or enjoying chef-prepared meals, it’s all included. The only things not covered are wine, beer, and gratuity—everything else is simply part of the SouthFork experience. No hidden fees, no surprises—just the freedom to explore, relax, and fully enjoy the wild with nothing holding you back.
